Touch down at Entebbe International Airport, where our driver-guide will be eagerly awaiting your arrival. A short drive will take you to your hotel in the charming town of Entebbe, where you can unwind and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Rise early for breakfast and prepare for an exciting day ahead. At 7 a.m., we’ll set off for Murchison Falls National Park, making a memorable stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you’ll have the rare chance to track rhinos on foot, observing these majestic giants from as close as 30 meters—a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Following lunch in Nakasongola, we’ll continue to Murchison Falls, where baboons, woodland birds, and panoramic views welcome you. Settle in at your lodge and relax as the African sun dips below the horizon.
Awake early for a morning game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls. As the sun rises, keep your eyes peeled for lions, hyenas, leopards, and jackals. The area is a haven for wildlife, from elephants and buffaloes to the unique Rothschild girae. After breakfast and a bit of relaxation, embark on a boat cruise on the Nile. Encounter hippos, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife along the riverbanks, and as you reach the thundering base of Murchison Falls, embark on a 45-minute hike to the top for stunning views of the falls. Cap off the day with a sunset over the Nile.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Kibale Forest National Park. Travel along the scenic Albertine Rift Valley, stopping for lunch in Hoima before continuing toward the lush Kibale forest. Arrive in the evening and settle in at your lodge surrounded by the beauty of western Uganda.
Start the day with an early breakfast, then head to Kanyanchu for Chimpanzee tracking. A pre-trek briefing will prepare you for this thrilling adventure as you enter the forest in search of the chimpanzee communities. Their lively calls and energetic movements create a truly unforgettable atmosphere. After lunch, head to Bigodi Wetlands, known for its rich biodiversity and vibrant birdlife. A guided swamp walk offers sightings of monkeys, forest elephants, and many bird species. Later, engage with local communities and experience traditional brewing, coffee processing, and herbal medicine.
An early start brings us to Kasenyi Plains for a game drive among lions, elephants, and various antelope species. With scenic views of crater lakes and grassy plains, the sunrise here is unforgettable. After lunch, we’ll cruise the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where hippos, crocodiles, and a spectacular array of birds await.
We’ll transfer to Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its unique tree-climbing lions. Keep an eye on the giant fig trees as these lions enjoy lounging on the branches. Spend the afternoon on a game drive, where you may also encounter elephants, hyenas, and kobs. Return to your lodge for a restful evening.
After breakfast Ishasha, we’ll drive through Ishasha once again, allowing another chance to spot wildlife before continuing south to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax and take in the scenic beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today is an experience of a lifetime! After an early breakfast, join your ranger for a Gorilla Trekking Adventure through Bwindi’s dense forest. This incredible encounter with mountain gorillas allows you to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After spending an hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge to relax and reflect on this unique experience.
After breakfast, visit the Batwa Community, where the indigenous Batwa people will share their rich forest knowledge and traditions. Enjoy performances of music and dance, and gain insights into the ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyle. Return to the lodge for lunch and a leisurely afternoon.
We’ll journey to Lake Mburo National Park, making a stop in Mbarara town for lunch. As we drive through the park, watch for zebras, impalas, and topis. After settling in at your lodge, embark on an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo. Enjoy sightings of hippos, buffaloes, and colorful birdlife against a backdrop of green, rolling hills.
Set out for an early nature walk to observe the park’s wildlife up close, with sightings of herbivores and rich flora. After breakfast, check out and journey back to Kampala, pausing at the Equator for photo opportunities. Continue to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Depending on your flight schedule, explore the vibrant city of Kampala, experiencing its unique blend of cultures, bustling markets, and historic sites. Later, transfer to Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll bid farewell to Uganda and fly home with memories to last a lifetime.
